Ceiling Tiles

There aren’t enough options for suspended ceiling tiles in New Zealand. Architects and designers often have to choose between elegant feature ceilings or simple, easy-install ceiling tiles – but why can’t you have both? When architects are searching for premium ceiling tiles, Featurecraft stands out as the trusted choice for NZ interior design projects.

This is the rationale behind the Featurecraft Ceiling Tiles. These powerful acoustic ceiling tiles are designed to reinvigorate commercial spaces in New Zealand. The tiles sit within suspended grid ceilings and can be customised to ensure seamless integration of existing ceiling services, allowing contractors to easily complete ceiling fitouts. All of the commercial ceiling tiles are perforated with the architect’s desired pattern, and felt backing is fitted behind the tiles so no services are visible through any perforations. These are decorative ceiling tiles that are truly functional, making Featurecraft the trusted name for acoustic ceiling tiles NZ wide

Additional Information

However, we know that for an architect, it’s never just about functionality. That’s why we offer three different profile options for our tiles: flat, which sits inside a ceiling grid like standard ceiling tiles, flush, which hangs in a ceiling grid and covers the grid itself so the ceiling surface is entirely uniform, and stepped, which hangs in a ceiling grid and extends beyond the grid itself.

Another distinguishing feature of our Featurecraft ceiling tiles is the authentic timber aesthetic.  We’ve taken the same design themes that make our timber panels so enduringly popular in the New Zealand market, and applied the same visuals to our ceiling tiles. Now designers are no longer limited to the plain white, beige, or grey ceiling tiles systems typical of corporate and commercial environments; all shades of wood, from the softest pearlescent silvers to the deepest, richest blacks, are on the table. From timber staining to timber veneer to HPL to melamine, Featurecraft’s diverse decorative ceiling tile system options are sure to fulfil the visual needs of any interior space.

Our decorative acoustic ceiling tiles prove once and for all that you do not have to sacrifice beauty for functionality. Choose Featurecraft’s premium, acoustic ceiling tiles and experience why NZ designers have trusted our products to consistently deliver outstanding outcomes.

FAQs

1) Are ceiling tiles suitable for all ceiling grids?

Our acoustic ceiling tiles come in standard 600mm x 600mm and 600x1200mm size, available in three different dimensions: flat (sits inside grid), flush (covers the grid for a uniform plane) or stepped profiles. We can also work with you to design a custom feature layout for your space and integrate your ceiling services.

2) What are the substrates and finishes?

Ceiling tiles are available in natural or black fire-rated MDF, with many options in stains, timber veneers, and HPL or melamine veneers. We can match your ceiling tile finishes to your wall lining for a seamless aesthetic, or work with you to find custom finishes that match your design intent. Ask us for samples, swatches, and data sheets to see our products in action.

3) Are these acoustic ceiling tiles (perforated), and can they hide services?

Yes. All of our acoustic ceiling tiles are perforated and fitted with a 1mm felt backing to hide services. We integrate cut-outs, lighting, and HVAC into our design so that the ceiling reads clean, not busy.

4) What fire rating do the tiles achieve?

Our acoustic ceiling tiles are engineered for a Group 1‑S fire rating (NZ), ensuring that your environment is code compliant, and your users are protected in case of hazards. Request our technical data sheet and fire test summary to learn more.

5) Do you provide installation guidance and BIM content?

Yes, we offer comprehensive documentation for our Commercial Ceiling Tiles. Visit our Resource Library for our installation guides, care and maintenance guides, and Revit families.

6) Where can I use Ceiling Tiles?

Ceiling Tiles are ideal for commercial fitouts, providing an easy way to upgrade existing ceilings and incorporate the natural beauty of timber into your environment. Their acoustic properties make them well-suited for any space that requires communication and conversation, such as offices, schools, and healthcare facilities. They are the perfect balance of cost-efficiency and aesthetic versatility, so the only limit is your imagination.
