All Aluminium Batten system components are crafted from recycled aluminium, ensuring a sustainable choice while still offering non-combustibility and resistance to corrosion. With a five-year commercial warranty on Aluminium Battens, these products can be trusted to perform at the highest level over time. The simple installation process makes it easy to set up battens in almost any configuration, from aluminium wall battens directly fixed to timber framing, to aluminium ceiling battens integrated into suspended ceilings, to aluminium batten screens running across zone boundaries. This endlessly adaptable product empowers designers to create freely.

Aluminium Battens are lightweight metal slats designed for durability, longevity, and aesthetic excellence. As they are made from extruded aluminium, they can be installed in both interior and exterior spaces and are optimal for high-moisture or high-impact areas. Use these battens for walls, ceilings, screens, facades, soffits – the options are limitless with this high-performing product.
Yes. Aluminium Battens are naturally resistant to rust and corrosion, even in coastal or humid environments. We manufacture them using high-grade recycled aluminium for long-term durability. They can also be anodised for extra protection or finished in UV-stable powder coatings, including timber-look options. These finishes shield the metal from weathering, making the battens ideal for exterior facades, soffits, breezeways, and areas exposed to sun or moisture.
Aluminium Battens offer extensive design flexibility. We supply standard sizes such as 50×50, 100×50, and 150×50 mm, and can create custom dimensions upon request. You can select from Featurecraft’s large library of profiles or work with our team to design your own shapes. Finishes include solid-colour powder coat, realistic woodgrain effects, or premium anodising. Because all battens are pre-finished, you receive a consistent, long-lasting surface with no on-site painting required.
Installation is designed to be efficient and clean. Installers fix clips to the substrate, and then each batten clicks securely into the system. The system suits walls, ceilings, and suspended screens, and can be adapted for curved surfaces too. With all fixings concealed, the result is a crisp, floating linear appearance.
Definitely. Aluminium Battens can be enhanced with acoustic backings for sound absorption. A 12 mm or 25 mm acoustic panel can be installed behind or between the battens, helping reduce echo and reverberation. With a 25 mm backing, the system can achieve NRC values around 0.60, and with an acoustic blanket, the NRC value can approach 0.95. This makes aluminium battens an attractive visual-and-acoustic solution for busy spaces.
Yes. Our Aluminium Battens are made from recycled aluminium, reducing environmental impact while maintaining high material quality. Recycled aluminium requires significantly less energy to produce, and the battens themselves are fully recyclable at end-of-life. Powder coating and anodising are carried out in controlled facilities that minimise waste. Their longevity, low maintenance requirements, and recyclability make aluminium battens a strong choice for sustainable building projects.
