Acoustic Perforations
Featurecraft acoustic panels combine sound absorption with a clean architectural finish. The patterns below are our standard perforations and engravings, each tested and documented so you can select with confidence.

- NRC ratings and coverage figures are based on a standard 2400 × 1200 mm panel.
- Panels are typically supplied with a 1 mm black felt backing, so services and cavities behind the panel are not visible through the perforations.
- Best acoustic results are achieved when the perforated panel is installed over a 20–100 mm acoustic blanket.
Perforated Panel - Grid Holes
Round holes drilled through the full panel thickness in a straight, evenly spaced grid. The simplest perforation pattern, available across a range of hole diameters and centres to suit the acoustic performance and visual density required.
Perforated Panel - Diagonal Holes
Round holes perforated through the panel on a 45-degree diagonal grid, so each row is offset from the next. Gives a softer, more visually even surface than a straight grid while providing the same acoustic openness.
Perforated Panel - Slots
Elongated slots perforated through the panel in aligned rows, running either horizontally or vertically. Slot width, length, and spacing vary by pattern, giving a strong linear appearance and a high open area for acoustic absorption.
Engraved + Perforated - Perforated Rib
Parallel grooves engraved into the panel face, with staggered slots perforated through the base of each groove. From the front it reads a clean ribbed surface, while the slots provide the open area needed for acoustic absorption.
Engraved - Engraved Rib
Parallel grooves engraved into the panel surface only, with no perforation through the panel. Provides the ribbed, linear look of the perforated version where acoustic absorption is not required, or where the panel face must remain solid.
